YORKVILLE NUTCRACKER

Dearest Friends,

For months we have been planning a 25th Anniversary Celebration for The Yorkville Nutcracker. We have commissioned a heartwarming retrospective film, created by our own Ariel Rose. Our original Sugarplum, Lourdes Lopez, planned to return for the festivities. And best of all, we would once again get to see the kids of The Yorkville Nutcracker bring our magnificent holiday tradition to life.

Alas…. It is not to be.

We are heartbroken. We so wanted to see our kids… your kids!... move up to their next roles, grow as dancers and people, and create, for the 25th time, the special community that makes The Yorkville Nutcracker such a magical event.

But life is so much more important. We simply cannot be a vehicle for endangering your children, their families, our wonderful city and community. So, it is with the heaviest of hearts that we postpone the 25th Anniversary of The Yorkville Nutcracker.

We also come to you with a plea.

Dances Patrelle spends about $6000 each month. That money literally pays to keep the lights on. It pays for insurance and maintenance and rent – Nutcracker sleighs have to be kept somewhere, even in summer.

Without the revenue generated by The Yorkville Nutcracker, we will run entirely out of money in less than five months.

We desperately want to create a virtual Nutcracker season, continue putting on classes hosted and taught by Dances Patrelle dancers, and begin planning for a Yorkville Nutcracker in 2021.

But in order to do any of those things, we need to raise $50,000.

We know that Dances Patrelle and The Yorkville Nutcracker are important to you. That’s why we are asking you to consider a contribution to Dances Patrelle. You can contribute via PayPal Here, or send a check to:
