Nutcracker Registration

Dear Parent,

It is with pleasure and excitement that I invite you and your child to the audition of The Yorkville Nutcracker. Throughout the year, the Dances Patrelle dancers, Board of Directors and staff prepare for this timeless tradition. In order to make the audition process simple, please read the following information before continuing with the registration process.

Dances Patrelle, Inc. (dP) is a professional, not-for-profit company based in New York City with over 20 years of repertory. This will be the fourteenth year in which dP has presented Francis Patrelle's unique rendition of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker. The Yorkville Nutcracker is especially unique because it provides our young dancers the opportunity to share the stage with some of today's greatest ballet luminaries.

Last year, we celebrated our most successful performance of The Yorkville Nutcracker and we expect the production to further exceed our expectations this year. We invite all parents to become involved in dP and hope that your personal involvement will strengthen the friendly, family-oriented atmosphere we have created and encouraged throughout the years. Remember, this is one of the few professional performing opportunities for young dancers in New York City. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to take ownership in the production. We know that you will find it to be a very rewarding experience.

In the following pages, be prepared to answer a few questions about your child as well as reading and agreeing to our parent/dancer contract. After filling out the registration form, you will see information about the costume wardrobe fee. Checks to cover this fee should be sent to the address below (note this year, we are accepting checks only — no credit cards):
